Casting Nets of Discipleship: Becoming Better Christian Men

Spring 2024 Discipleship Conference.

Casting Nets of Discipleship: Becoming Better Christian Men

Jesus said, “Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of people.” Matthew 4:29

This is more than a conference; it’s a call to transform into fishers of men, equipped to spread the Gospel through discipleship.

Fishers of Men

Just as a skilled angler sets the stage for a successful catch, as Christian men, we are called to cast nets of discipleship.

The conference delves into living a life that attracts others to Christ, using the right “bait” like humility and kindness, and discusses practical ways of intentional discipleship through community influence and mentorship. It emphasizes the virtues of patience and perseverance, mirrored in the patience required in fishing, and addresses the responsibility of discipling others.

The “Casting Nets of Discipleship: Becoming Better Christian Men” conference is designed to empower and inspire Christian men in their spiritual journey of discipleship. Through the vivid theme of fishing, this conference explores various aspects of living a Christ-centered life. It begins with an introduction that sets the scene using fishing analogies, followed by sessions that draw parallels between Jesus calling His disciples and the modern call to discipleship.

God has not called men to be lone rangers. Instead, he is calling men of God to arise together as a band of brothers from every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Plan now to join Discipleship Men for a day of casting, equipping, resourcing and encouragement as men assemble in solidarity to strengthen our commitment as husbands, fathers, and leaders of men and boys.
